Great things never come accidentally .
Anything sustainable and fulfilling has to be pursued with a singular plan.
I want X, and I will get it by doing Y and giving up Z.
Build this thing from the ground up with a very clear goal.
But we hear a different message.
We are told to start small and iterate.
That through incremental progress we will reach success.
This only works if you have a grand and clear goal.
If you are clear of what you won’t accept.
Then you can use iteration to improve and test.
But without it you will go around in circles pursuing an infinite amount of possibilities.
