Don’t equate happiness and pleasure.
Neither one needs the other.
Pleasure is addictive, fleeting, and corrosive.
Happiness is filling, calming, and regenerative.
Pleasure is met when we give our id what it wants: food & sex.
Happiness is achieved when we live up to our higher selves.
Give your body as little pleasure as you can get away with.
Give your soul as much happiness.
Never chase pleasure, but if it comes accept it.
Make it your life’s mission to live to your potential, the source of happiness.
Never listen to the sirens,
Let your soul guide your life.
